Chapter One

A path, charted in versions.

I don’t build things once. I build them, break them, and rebuild them with better instincts. Every milestone below is a version — a moment I understood something I hadn’t before.

  1. 01
    2024

    Started Informatics Engineering

Started studying Informatics Engineering and built a strong foundation in programming and algorithms.

  2. 02
    2025

    Expanded technical foundations

Expanded my knowledge in frontend development, databases, UI/UX design, and software engineering.

  3. 03
    2026

    Focused on real-world software craft

Focused on building modern websites, desktop applications, and interactive software projects.

Chapter Two

The developer behind this portfolio.

“Good design and clean code aren’t separate goals — they’re the same goal, seen from two angles.”

Hello! I'm Gilang Rozan Ramadhan, an Informatics Engineering student at Universitas Ahmad Dahlan. I have a strong interest in frontend development, UI/UX design, and software engineering.

I enjoy building responsive, modern, and user-friendly applications while continuously improving my programming skills through academic and personal projects. My goal is to become a software engineer who creates digital products that are both functional and enjoyable to use.

/ 01

Frontend Development

Building responsive, accessible interfaces with clean, maintainable code and attention to detail.

/ 02

UI/UX Design

Designing intuitive, user-centered experiences that balance aesthetics with usability.

Chapter Three

My Philosophy

I believe great software is built through curiosity, consistency, and continuous improvement. Every project is an opportunity to learn, solve problems, and create meaningful digital experiences.

Chapter Four

Tools, held with intent.

The languages, tools, and habits behind every project I build.

01 Programming

The core languages I use to build and structure software, from the browser down to the database.

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript
  • Responsive Design
  • C++
  • PHP
  • MySQL
02 Design & Tools

The tools that keep my workflow organized, collaborative, and efficient from design to deployment.

  • UI Design
  • UX Design
  • Figma
  • Git
  • GitHub
  • VS Code
  • Dev-C++
03 Soft Skills

The non-technical habits that make the technical work actually land, on a team or on my own.

  • Problem Solving
  • Communication
  • Teamwork
  • Critical Thinking
  • Time Management

Chapter Five

Proof, in compiled form.

gilangrozan.dev
2026 · Personal Project

Portfolio Website

The problem A personal site needed to do more than list projects — it needed to feel like proof of design and engineering ability on its own.

Challenge
Balancing rich glassmorphism and motion with real performance and accessibility.
Solution
A modular CSS architecture with reusable glass and gradient tokens, motion gated behind prefers-reduced-motion.

Outcome A fully responsive, animated portfolio featuring glassmorphism, smooth animations, premium interactions, and clean architecture — built entirely with hand-written HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

02
zombie-survival
2025 · Computer Graphics

Zombie Survival Game

The problem A Computer Graphics assignment that needed to go beyond a static scene — real gameplay, real state, a real challenge for the player.

Challenge
Coordinating enemy AI, spawn logic, and multiple game stages without a physics or game engine.
Solution
A custom top-down game loop in C++/OpenGL with a lightweight state machine driving stages, UI, and enemy behavior.

Outcome A Computer Graphics project built using C++ and OpenGL with gameplay mechanics, multiple stages, a working UI system, and enemy AI.

03
load-balancer-mas
2025–2026 · Artificial Intelligence

Multi-Agent Load Balancing System

The problem Server load balancing usually assumes a central controller — this project explored what happens when the decision is distributed instead.

Challenge
Modeling servers as independent agents that negotiate load without a single point of failure.
Solution
A multi-agent simulation where each agent evaluates local load and cooperates to redistribute requests intelligently.

Outcome An Artificial Intelligence academic project focused on intelligent server load balancing using multi-agent concepts, demonstrating more even distribution than a naive round-robin approach.

04
laundry-mis
2025 · Software Engineering

Laundry Management Information System

The problem A small laundry business tracking orders on paper — a case study in turning a real, messy process into a structured system.

Challenge
Translating an informal business process into clear requirements and a normalized data model.
Solution
A full analysis-to-design pass — requirements gathering, ERD/UML modeling, and a structured information system design.

Outcome A Software Engineering project focused on analysis, design, and information system development — from requirements through database schema and interface flow.
